Professional Role: Junior Designer at Ballistic Moon for 14 months.

Contributions:

  • Responsible for updating the design and user experience for a variety of levels over the course of the project.
  • Implementation of gameplay systems, such as Companion AI behaviour, gameplay cameras and interactive cutscenes.
  • Core member of the design team, inputting to the game’s overall design, supporting other disciplines and maintaining documentation.

Remake of popular 2015 horror game Until Dawn developed in Unreal Engine 5.

Contributions:

  • Collaborating with the design team to idealise and write the Game Design Document.
  • Designing and Prototyping game systems in UE5 with Blueprints.
  • Concepting the game’s narrative and characters.
 

Top down 3D casual game. Explore an open world, gathering ingredients and resources to make food to serve at and decorate your daily hosted picnic. Interact with your characters who live in the area and that attend your picnic, and build a close-knit community of friends.

Contributions:

  • Team spokesman and key contributor to planning and production.
  • Collaborating with the Design team to concept and then prototype game systems in UE4 with Blueprints.
  • Concepting the game’s narrative and characters.
 

Isometric 3D cafe management game. Using money earned from serving ghosts, furnish your café to attract different cryptid customers. Talk to cryptids to unveil the stories they have to tell and progress their narratives.

Developed and published on Itch.io by Galacticrab Studio, an indie studio formed as part of my final year of university.

Contributions:

  • Designed and created blockouts for levels and puzzles, and I was the primary scene decorator.
  • Incorporating the narrative into the design of the levels, through environmental story telling.
  • QA testing and collaborating with engineers to fix issues and bugs. 
 

First Person Stealth game with puzzle based level design. The game has a thriller inspired atmosphere with a dark but subtle tone in it’s narrative.
